App guide

Your apps after the change

Most apps just keep working once you've signed in to your computer with your new username โ€” there's no separate sign-in step for each app. A small number keep using your old username, and a few have known quirks worth knowing about.

Quick rules

โœ“Most apps work via SSO (MyApps tile or Microsoft account) โ€” no separate sign-in once you're on your computer with your new username

๐Ÿ“ฑMobile Microsoft apps (Teams, Outlook) may prompt once โ€” use your new username

๐Ÿ”‘Keep using your old username for TeleQ, SARA, anything outside Kry

๐Ÿ’ณSITH card systems: completely unaffected

๐Ÿ’ณ

SITH card systems: if you sign in to a system using your SITH card (1177, journal systems, etc.), nothing changes. Your SITH card is independent of your Kry UPN.

๐ŸŒ

Systems outside Kry's IT: if you sign in to a system that Kry's IT doesn't manage (third-party tools where you have a separate account), keep using your old firstname.lastname@ad.kry.se or @ad.kry.no address. Those systems sit outside our SSO and don't get updated.

01 / EVERYDAY APPS

Reached via single sign-on โ€” no separate sign-in needed

These apps are all reached via single sign-on (SSO) โ€” either directly through your Microsoft account or via the MyApps portal (myapps.microsoft.com, Kry's tile-based launcher for enterprise tools). Once you've signed in to your computer with your new username, you don't need to type credentials again โ€” opening the app just works. The only exception is mobile, where Microsoft apps (Teams, Outlook) may prompt you to sign in again once after the change โ€” when they do, use your new username.

Microsoft TeamsUses your Microsoft account directly
Teams will keep working as normal on desktop. On mobile, you may be prompted to sign in again once after the change โ€” when it does, use your new username (firstname.lastname@kry.se or @kry.no).
OneDriveWorks as normal โ€” ignore the red X if you see it
OneDrive keeps syncing as normal. Heads up: the OneDrive client may briefly show a red X on file icons after the change. This is cosmetic only โ€” sync is still working underneath, and files in the OneDrive web view are unaffected. Ignore the icons; IT is investigating the cause.
OutlookUses your Microsoft account directly
Outlook works as normal on desktop. On mobile, you may be prompted to sign in again once โ€” use your new username when it does. Your mailbox, calendar, contacts, and history are unchanged. Emails sent to your old address still arrive in the same inbox.
Printer LogicOpen via MyApps โ€” SSO signs you in
Open Printer Logic via the MyApps tile. SSO signs you in automatically with your new username โ€” no credentials needed. Your printers and profile auto-sync from your account; this can take up to about an hour after the change before everything appears.
QuinyxOpen via MyApps โ€” SSO signs you in
Open Quinyx via the MyApps tile. SSO signs you in automatically. Your schedule, shifts, and profile stay exactly the same.
SharePointUses your Microsoft account directly
SharePoint works as normal. All sites, files, and permissions are unchanged. No sign-in step needed.
VLSOpen via MyApps โ€” SSO signs you in
Open VLS via the MyApps tile. SSO signs you in automatically. Your profile may take a few hours to reflect the new username โ€” your access works in the meantime.
WorkdayOpen via MyApps โ€” SSO signs you in
Workday works as normal via SSO โ€” open the MyApps tile (or your existing bookmark) and you're in. Note: if you sign in to Workday with a username and password instead of SSO, you may need to reach out to HR to get logged back in after the change.
ZendeskOpen via MyApps โ€” SSO signs you in
Open Zendesk via the MyApps tile. SSO signs you in automatically. Your tickets, profile, and access auto-sync from your account; this can take up to about an hour after the change.

Other apps via MyApps (WinningTemp, Anaplan, Contentful, WorkRamp, Sana, XM Fax, TeamTailor) follow the same SSO pattern โ€” open the tile and you're in. See section 03 below for the few with known quirks.

02 / KEEP USING YOUR OLD USERNAME

A few exceptions sit outside the change

These systems either aren't managed by Kry IT or use a separate sign-in flow that doesn't pick up the new username automatically.

  • TeleQ โ€” continue signing in with your old firstname.lastname@ad.kry.se or @ad.kry.no address.
  • SARA โ€” continue with your old address. SARA is outside IT's control. If you want your account updated to the new format, email Ann-Kristin and she'll assign the new UPN.
  • Any third-party system with its own login (apps not managed by Kry IT) โ€” keep your old address. These systems store their own copy of your username and IT can't update them.
03 / KNOWN QUIRKS

Heads up โ€” these have a known wrinkle

Everything below still works after the change. These are just things to expect so you don't worry when you see them.

  • Anaplan โ€” sign in with your new username via MyApps. The Finance team handles Anaplan account renames separately on Monday after the IT change, so some account names may briefly look out of date. No action needed; it'll catch up.
  • Teamtailor โ€” sign in with your new username. If job ads previously assigned to your old account are missing, ask the original creator to re-add you. IT is working on a longer-term fix.
  • OneDrive red-X icons โ€” if you see a red X on file icons after the change, ignore it. Sync is still working; this is a cosmetic glitch only.

Don't see your app? IT is here.

If an app isn't behaving the way this page describes, or you can't sign in to something โ€” raise a ticket and the IT Service Desk will help you.
