Login update

Your login username is changing

We're simplifying how you log in to your Kry computer. We're removing the "ad." prefix from your username β€” Sweden moves from @ad.kry.se to @kry.se, Norway moves from @ad.kry.no to @kry.no. There's a small action you'll need to take the first time you log in after the change.

Your password stays exactly the same.

Sunday β†’ Monday: IT applies the change between 18:00 and 21:00 CET on the Sunday before your go-live date.

You don't need to sign out proactively β€” just let apps prompt you when they prompt you.

During and after that window, some apps (Teams, Outlook, web apps) may prompt you to sign in again as their tokens refresh β€” when they do, use your new username. See the login guide.

Your next clean sign-in to your computer β€” Monday morning for most, or any time you sign out and back in β€” will use the new flow.

02 / BEFORE THE CHANGE

A few things to check now

Small steps you can take before your go-live date that'll save you trouble if anything goes sideways.

⚠️

Important: on your first login after the change date, you must click "Other user" on the Windows login screen β€” don't tap your existing profile tile.

If you click your existing profile, the login will fail. See the step-by-step login guide with screenshots before your first login.

03 / WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

First login after the change β€” three steps

A quick summary. For the full walkthrough with screenshots, see the login guide.

1

Know your go-live date

  • Norway: Monday 25 May 2026. Sweden: Monday 1 June 2026.
  • From that date onwards, the change is in effect.
  • Your new username will be firstname.lastname@kry.se (Sweden) or firstname.lastname@kry.no (Norway).
  • You'll get email reminders before the change goes live.
2

Sign out β€” only if you're still signed in

  • Skip this step if your computer is already at the Windows login screen.
  • Click the Windows (Start) button.
  • Click your profile name / icon.
  • Select "Sign out".

3

Sign in with your new username

  • On the login screen, look at the bottom-left.
  • Click "Other user".
  • Enter your new username and your existing password.

βœ“

Once you're back in, check these three things:

  • Open Outlook β€” your mailbox should be there
  • Open Teams β€” your usual chats and meetings should be there
  • Open MyApps β€” tiles should load

If any of these don't work, raise a Zendesk ticket.

04 / IMPACT ON YOUR APPS

What happens to your apps?

Most apps just keep working once you've signed in to your computer with the new username. A small number have exceptions β€” see the full guide for the per-app detail.

βœ“ Most apps work via SSO (MyApps tile or Microsoft account) β€” no separate sign-in once you're on your computer with your new username.
πŸ“± Mobile Microsoft apps (Teams, Outlook) may prompt once β€” use your new username when they do.
πŸ”‘ A few keep your old username β€” TeleQ, SARA, anything outside Kry's IT.
πŸ’³ SITH card systems are completely unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to change my password?
No. Your password stays exactly the same. Only the part after the "@" symbol in your username changes. If you do need to reset your password at any point, you can use Self-Service Password Reset (aka.ms/sspr).
My email address changes β€” do I lose old emails?
No. Your mailbox, calendar, contacts and all historic emails are kept. The old @ad.kry.se address is kept as a secondary address so emails sent to your old address will still arrive in the same inbox.
What if I tap my existing profile instead of "Other user"?
The login will fail. Sign out and start again β€” this time, click "Other user" at the bottom-left and enter your new username (firstname.lastname@kry.se). The full walkthrough with screenshots is on the login guide page.
Do I need to do anything on my phone or the Authenticator app?
No. Your MFA (two-factor authentication) stays the same β€” SMS code (default) or the Authenticator app if you already have it. You may be asked to sign in again to Teams or Outlook mobile once after the change β€” use your new username. If anything looks unexpected, raise a Zendesk ticket.
Why is this change happening?
Two reasons. First, your sign-in becomes simpler β€” one address (@kry.se / @kry.no) that matches your email. Second, Kry is one brand across the company, and your sign-in should match that.
Why does an app still show my old @ad.kry.se username?
This is expected for some apps. Some third-party systems (especially anything outside Microsoft and your SSO) keep their own copy of your username. These can't always be updated by IT. If the app still works, no action is needed. If it stops working, raise a Zendesk ticket and we'll investigate.
I forgot my password β€” how do I reset it?
Use aka.ms/sspr β€” Microsoft's Self-Service Password Reset. Works whether your username is the old or new one. Note: SSPR only works if your personal email is correctly registered in Workday β€” if it fails, raise a Zendesk ticket.

Need help? IT is here.

If you can't log in, see something unexpected, or want to double-check before the change β€” raise a ticket and the IT Service Desk will help you.
